GMAT Exam
Prepare for the current GMAT Exam with quantitative, verbal and data-insights practice for business-school applications.
Requirements • practice • application planning

Start with the purpose
MBA and business master’s applicants whose chosen schools require or accept GMAT. Work experience, academic history, essays and interviews may remain part of selection regardless of a test result.
The current GMAT has Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Data Insights, with 2 hours 15 minutes of testing. Older four-section resources describe a previous edition; use current preparation material and each school’s score policy.
Develop accurate problem setup and efficient calculation. Review the reasoning behind a solution rather than memorising a trick.
Practise evaluating arguments and reading closely, separating a conclusion from assumptions and supporting evidence.
Interpret tables, graphics and mixed information carefully. Explain what can and cannot be concluded from the data.
Use current official practice to learn the interface and build a sensible section-by-section review routine.
Make practice count
A workable rhythm
Use this eight-week framework as a starting point. Adjust it to your diagnostic, required scores and available time—not a guaranteed completion date.
Before booking
Save the exact course requirement: accepted test, version, overall and section scores, result age, reporting method and deadline. Confirm any ambiguity with admissions.
Weeks 1–2
Complete a current-format diagnostic, identify your weakest required skill and make an error log. Choose a realistic weekly schedule around school, work and application tasks.
Weeks 3–6
Alternate targeted learning with timed tasks. Seek specific feedback on work that cannot be reliably self-marked, and revisit recurring errors rather than only taking more mocks.
Weeks 7–8 and beyond
Practise under the actual test conditions, confirm identity and equipment rules and allow time for results and score delivery. Extend the plan if your evidence shows you are not ready.
Before you pay
Keep a written checklist for each university. An accepted test name alone may not cover the version, delivery method or section requirements.
Helpful answers
Clear answers for your course, application and test-planning decisions.
Ask a counsellorThe current three-section exam differs from the older edition that included Analytical Writing. Use GMAC’s current format information and current official preparation products rather than an old four-section timetable.
First check which tests your selected business schools accept. If both are accepted, compare official sample tasks and your diagnostic performance, then choose a preparation plan that fits your strengths and deadlines.
No. Business schools assess the complete application under their own selection policies. A test result is not a substitute for required experience, academic evidence, essays or interviews.
The timeline here is an adaptable planning example, not a promise. Your starting level, target requirement, available study time and feedback determine how long you need. Begin early enough to improve skills rather than booking solely because a calendar says eight weeks.
Fees, local availability, rescheduling charges and accommodation arrangements can change. Check the linked test provider before payment, include preparation and score-reporting costs in your budget, and allow time for a further attempt if permitted and needed.
We help you identify relevant tests, read course requirements and connect preparation with your application timeline. Ask our team about available preparation options and any separate scope or fee. Counselling does not guarantee a score, test-centre appointment or admission.
