Language preparation

Identify the language of teaching before choosing a test or preparation course.
Check accepted tests, minimum scores, score validity and any waiver conditions for the specific programme.

General planning

Intake & application plan

Choose your preferred study year and start term, then work backwards through application and document deadlines.
Keep admission, scholarship, deposit and immigration dates separate; a course start month is not an application deadline.

Your complete study budget

Compare tuition by currency, fee year and charging period; a per-credit or per-semester figure is not a full-degree price.
Allow for accommodation, daily living, insurance, travel, deposits, study materials and application or immigration charges.

General planning

Scholarships & finance

Explore institution, programme, government and external funding that matches your applicant profile.
Check award eligibility, deadlines, coverage and renewal conditions; neither a scholarship nor a loan is guaranteed.

The information below describes Austria. It is not a statement of this institution’s entry requirements, fees or available intakes.

Academic pathways

Undergraduate: Submit an accepted secondary-school qualification, required subject evidence and the programme's language proof; admission or aptitude examinations can apply.
Postgraduate: A relevant recognised bachelor's degree and sufficient subject preparation are normally assessed by the admitting institution; portfolios or selection procedures can apply.

Teaching language

German is important across undergraduate study; English-taught programmes are available selectively.
Confirm the exact language and accepted evidence for the chosen degree.

Intake planning

Winter study generally begins in October and summer study in March; individual programmes may admit only once a year and entrance-exam applications can close much earlier.

Tuition context

At Austrian universities, third-country students holding a Residence Permit–Student generally pay EUR 726.72 per semester, plus the compulsory student-union contribution.
Exemptions exist; applied-sciences, private and continuing-education programmes set different fees.
