For Indian school applicants, SFU recognises the All India Senior School Certificate, HSSC or 12-year Indian School Certificate and assesses Standard XII academic subjects. Computing Science requires Standard XII Mathematics plus one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics. General English, quantitative and analytical requirements also apply; the university's minimum mathematics rule is not a competitive Computing Science cutoff. IELTS Academic requires 6.5 overall and at least 6.0 in each part. SFU does not accept IELTS One Skill Retake. Language-test results older than 24 months before application are not considered; approved prior education can provide another route to English competence.
The Fall 2026 calendar charges international students who entered in 2024/25 or later CAD 1,262.88 per unit for normal courses and CAD 1,327.97 per unit for Computing Science courses at levels 200–400. Mandatory student fees and insurance are additional. These are Fall 2026 course rates; a generic Faculty of Science annual estimate should not replace a Computing Science course-level budget or a 2027 quotation. Fees are not a university-wide average. Confirm the exact course, fee year, currency, deposit, extra charges and refund conditions before paying.
For Fall 2027 undergraduate entry, submit the application by 31 January 2027. Supporting-document, English-evidence and scholarship deadlines are separate; consult the applicant checklist for the selected entry category. SFU lists Fall 2027 undergraduate applications from 1 October 2026 to 31 January 2027. It also lists a Summer 2027 application window, but applicants must check Computing Science availability rather than infer that every undergraduate programme admits each term. A semester start date is not an application closing date. Check scholarship and visa timelines separately.
