Admission planning

A little clarity.
A better next step.

Admission planning

Academic eligibility

  • A university or professional bachelor's related to computer science or software development, with substantial programming and preparation in programming, foundations and software engineering.
  • Applicants document subject coverage in a Form of Compliance and submit the programme's Statement of Purpose.
  • Places are limited; a qualifying degree does not guarantee selection.

Admission planning

Language requirements

  • IELTS Academic 6.5 overall is an accepted route to English B-level.
  • IELTS One Skill Retake is not accepted.
  • IELTS/TOEFL normally must be no more than two years old on 1 March.
  • Country-limited prior-education options do not provide a general Indian English-medium-degree exemption.
  • Fee-paying non-EU applicants awaiting a test must provide the result within three weeks after the application deadline.

Admission planning

Study intakes

  • Autumn entry; the published calendar places study start in week 35, with introduction in week 34.
  • These are teaching arrangements, not application deadlines.

Admission planning

Application deadlines

  • The master's application deadline is 1 March at 23:59 CET, with the portal opening in mid-January.
  • Follow the chosen round's document requirements and separate test-result conditions.
  • Admission decisions are normally issued by 10 June; acceptance has the individual offer's short response deadline.

Admission planning

International tuition

  • For entrants admitted in 2026, tuition is EUR 8,250 per semester, or EUR 33,000 for a standard two-year full-time master's.
  • Payment is made before each semester.
  • These are explicitly 2026 admission rates, not a new 2027 price.
  • The applicable EUR 150 application fee and living expenses are separate.

Admission planning

Scholarships & funding

  • ITU offers a very small number of competitive state scholarships to exceptionally strong non-EU/EEA MSc applicants.
  • Tuition and part of living costs can be covered.
  • There is no separate application: selected admitted students are informed in their offer, and continued full-time progress is required.
