A little clarity.
A better next step.

Admission planning

Academic eligibility

  • For the main admission round, provide a recognised bachelor's degree equivalent to at least 180 ECTS and at least 25 ECTS relevant to marketing.
  • Applicants in the non-EU/EEA degree group normally need an aptitude test: GMAT Focus 515, previous GMAT 550, GRE Quantitative 150 or GTEBS 95.
  • Specified EU/EEA, Swiss or Hanken exchange-partner degrees can qualify through a GPA route.
  • Rolling admission has different, higher test thresholds.

Admission planning

Language requirements

  • For master's study, accepted examples are IELTS Academic 6.5 or PTE Academic 68.
  • TOEFL requires 92 on the previous scale or 4.5 for tests taken from 21 January 2026.
  • Approved educational-background and aptitude-test routes also exist.
  • IELTS One Skill Retake and TOEFL MyBest are not accepted; share verifiable results according to Hanken's instructions.

Admission planning

Study intakes

  • The 2027 main admission round covers full-time on-campus master's study.
  • This example is the two-year Helsinki Marketing programme, not the one-year double degree with Umeå or a campus-transfer route.

Admission planning

Application deadlines

  • Main-round applications run from 7 January 2027 at 08:00 to 21 January 2027 at 15:00 Finnish time.
  • Attachments are due by 28 January at 15:00.
  • The final offer-acceptance deadline is 13 July 2027 at 15:00.
  • Rolling admission uses a separate timetable and eligibility assessment.

Admission planning

International tuition

  • The master's tariff for study rights starting from 1 August 2024, including the advertised 2027 admission round, is EUR 15,000 per academic year for fee-liable students.
  • It is not the total two-year fee.
  • Living expenses, study materials, student-union membership and healthcare charges are excluded.

Admission planning

Scholarships & funding

  • In the main round, eligible students can receive a 25% Early Commitment reduction by accepting and paying within twenty-one days.
  • It is unavailable to waiting-list, double-degree or tuition-scholarship recipients.
  • A continuing master's student may apply for a second-year 25% Honor waiver after 60 ECTS in the preceding year.
  • The exceptional GBSN admission scholarship has restricted school/country eligibility and only two awards; it is not generally available.
