A completed upper-secondary qualification giving higher-education eligibility. Certificate selection requires at least 54% GPA, assessed against its grading system. The SAT alternative requires 400 in reading/writing and 400 in mathematics. Final certificates and complete documents are required. Certificate-route applicants can use IELTS Academic 6.0 overall or an approved alternative. Those without acceptable English certificates must pass an interview. SAT applicants do not need separate English evidence.

For bachelor's starts from 1 August 2027, the dated fee policy lists EUR 10,000 per academic year and EUR 35,000 for the standard 3.5-year route. This excludes living expenses and other personal costs. The first annual fee is due when confirming the study place. Fees are not a university-wide average. Confirm the exact course, fee year, currency, deposit, extra charges and refund conditions before paying.

Rolling applications opened on 27 August 2026 and close when places fill, or 10 December 2026 at 15:00 UTC+2 at the latest. Offer acceptance and tuition are due separately within 21 days of admission. Autumn 2027 at Kajaani. New students must arrive by 17 August 2027.
