Admission planning

Academic eligibility

  • Applicants normally need a qualification giving higher-education eligibility in its awarding country.
  • In the January 2027 SAT route, the minimum is 400 in reading/writing and 400 in mathematics from one sitting; places are awarded competitively.
  • Certificate-based quotas apply only to the specifically listed Finnish and international qualifications.

Admission planning

Language requirements

  • For the SAT selection route, the required reading/writing score is the published English evidence and no additional language test is required.
  • Certificate-based applicants must separately meet the accepted English-evidence rules; the SAT exception is not a universal waiver.

Admission planning

Study intakes

  • The January 2027 joint application includes Environmental Engineering for studies starting in August 2027.

Admission planning

Application deadlines

  • Joint applications run 7–21 January 2027 and close at 15:00 Finnish time on the final day.
  • Official SAT results must arrive directly from the organiser by 28 February 2027.
  • The later score-report date does not extend the application deadline.

Admission planning

International tuition

  • Under the policy for English-taught programmes starting in January 2026 or later, tuition is EUR 12,000 per academic year, defined as 1 August–31 July.
  • This is the applicable published policy for the August 2027 route, not a four-year total.
  • Housing and other living or study costs are additional.

Admission planning

Scholarships & funding

  • A EUR 1,000 first-year early-bird discount requires accepting the offer within 14 days and paying the first annual tuition within 30 days of the admission email.
  • Later Finnish-language YKI awards have separate active-study, language-level and prior-fee conditions; they are not automatic entrance funding.
