UoM is listed by the Mauritius Higher Education Commission as a public institution. Its 2026–27 programme pages note a transition to the National Credit Value and Transfer System, so applicants should use the final updated programme and fee documents rather than an older credit-based brochure.

Admission planning

A little clarity.
A better next step.

Admission planning

Academic eligibility

  • Check the university's general school-level requirements and each programme's required subjects and grades.
  • International qualification equivalence and any foundation route must be assessed by UoM; postgraduate and research admission follow separate requirements.

Admission planning

Language requirements

  • Confirm the current programme's English-language evidence and any programme-specific requirements directly with admissions; no universal test waiver is asserted.

Admission planning

Study intakes

  • The verified undergraduate programme list is for August 2026, now a past intake.
  • The international application portal currently shows taught applications closed and research postgraduate applications open throughout the year.

Admission planning

Application deadlines

  • The August 2026 international undergraduate deadline was 10 April 2026 and has passed.
  • For the next taught intake, use the linked official resource and the new official call; do not relabel the old deadline as upcoming.

Admission planning

International tuition

  • A 2026–27 international undergraduate/postgraduate fee schedule is linked from UoM's Information on Fees page, but its numerical PDF has not been verified here.
  • Current international programme tuition is therefore unquoted; request the exact MUR/USD schedule and additional fees.
  • Do not use Mauritian free-tuition rates or old per-credit amounts.

Admission planning

Scholarships & funding

  • The 2026 Mauritius-Africa Scholarship Scheme documents target eligible African applicants and should not be advertised as a general Indian-student entitlement.
  • Ask UoM for current awards matching the applicant's nationality and programme.
