The MEng application requires academic records, a résumé, recommendations, programme-specific written responses and the required video/technical-skills components. For 2027 admission, the GRE is optional. Biomedical Engineering expects an appropriate STEM foundation, including the relevant mathematics and sciences. Computational Mechanics and Scientific Computing expects STEM preparation with calculus and further quantitative coursework. Check the individual programme's prerequisite table: meeting a broad degree requirement does not remove subject gaps. Applicants whose first language is not English must follow Pratt's English-test or waiver instructions. Waiver eligibility depends on the specified prior education and other conditions, not an assumed blanket exemption for Indian degrees. Check the current test requirements and any interview or language assessment directly; a dated assessment notice from 2026 should not be treated as a future deadline.

Duke lists 2026–27 standard campus MEng tuition of USD 35,680 per semester. Its estimate for the usual 30-credit, three-semester degree is USD 107,040 tuition at that rate, excluding other fees and living costs. This applies to the standard listed campus programmes, not special-fee AI, accelerated FinTech or Game Design routes, and is not a verified 2027–28 price. Fees are not a university-wide average. Confirm the exact course, fee year, currency, deposit, extra charges and refund conditions before paying.

For traditional campus MEng fall 2027 entry, Pratt lists application rounds closing November 3, 2026, January 19, 2027 and March 17, 2027. All three were future dates at review. Use the relevant programme row and submit required materials by its stated round; a later round is not a guarantee that all places or funding remain. Duke's accelerated Financial Technology, online and other specialist formats have different start patterns and conditions.
