The CS department expects a recognised four-year bachelor's degree and appropriate computing and mathematics preparation. Its published GPA guidance specifies 3.0 overall and 3.2 in the major, and its application includes three recommendations; GRE scores are optional. Data Science has a separate admissions and degree-information page. The combined 4+1 bachelor's/MSDS route is for eligible current Delaware undergraduates, not a one-year conversion route available automatically to an overseas graduate. The CS admissions page lists IELTS 6.5 for admission and a higher IELTS requirement for teaching-assistant consideration. Meeting the degree's admission threshold therefore does not establish eligibility for a teaching role. Data Science directs international applicants to its own English-evidence rules; exemptions and current test versions must be checked for the selected programme.

Programme-specific 2026–27 pages list CS MS tuition at USD 1,510 per credit and Data Science MS tuition at USD 1,149 per credit. The rates must not be swapped or replaced by the university's non-degree graduate rate. Mandatory fees, living costs and future-year increases are separate; request an offer-specific total for the chosen credit plan. Fees are not a university-wide average. Confirm the exact course, fee year, currency, deposit, extra charges and refund conditions before paying.

The CS graduate listing publishes recurring January 31 priority/August 18 final dates for fall and October 31 priority/January 26 final dates for spring. The MSDS FAQ instead gives February 1 for the following fall and warns that capacity may fill earlier. These are recurring schedules rather than explicitly verified 2027 calls; confirm the next cycle and visa-document timing with the relevant programme. Computer Science lists fall and spring entry. Data Science admits for fall only, and its FAQ says reviews begin in November. Do not infer that a spring CS opening also applies to the interdisciplinary MSDS.
